UK (ChattahBox) - The UK is planning to ban the sale of the Japanese horror film Gurotesuku (Grotesque), due to extreme scenes of violence, torture, and murder that they believe with ‘traumatize British viewers’.
The film has very little plot. It centers around two people, a man and woman, who are kidnapped after their first date by a hygiene-obsessed maniac. The rest of the film is a graphic depiction of the two being tortured and finally killed.
UK officials have said that they will not be putting the film through for classification, and so without a rating it will not be able to be sold within the country.
However, horror fans who enjoy the torture and extreme violence genre will likely still see it online, as is commonly the case with banned movies.
This it the first film to be banned in the UK since 2008, when ‘Murder-Set-Pieces’, the story of a serial killer photographer, was put on the blacklist.
